Limgroup takes over the operations of Aspavanza

LIMGROUP TAKES OVER THE OPERATIONS OF ASPAVANZA 

With effect from 1 March 2022, Limgroup will take over the operations of Aspavanza. Simultaneously, Ton Smolders, a familiar face in the asparagus world and founder of Aspavanza, will enter Limgroup’s employment. For over 30 years, Smolders has been active in the international world of asparagus cultivation. This acquisition and Smolders’ appointment will allow Limgroup to strengthen its international position in the asparagus market.

“The takeover of these operations and Smolders’ appointment by the Limgroup team will allow us to provide our customers with even better service, through the provision of advice to maximise the potential of the Limgroup varieties. With Smolders’ knowledge and experience of cultivation, agronomy and technology, as Limgroup we will also continue to build a strong and healthy asparagus sector,” says John Schoeber, who has ultimate responsibility for Marketing & Sales within Limgroup B.V.

Smolders adds: “I am looking forward to making a contribution to Limgroup’s customers and to the asparagus sector as a whole with the knowledge and skills I have acquired. The season is just around the corner and I am ready for that”.
